ENTRE CIELOS Y SOMBRAS (MIXTA)
Pinto caballos porque hay una imagen que nunca me ha abandonado: un caballito de juguete que mi padre me regaló cuando era niña. Era pequeño, sencillo, pero para mí tenía algo mágico. Fue uno de los primeros regalos que recibí de él, y también uno de los últimos momentos en que lo tuve cerca. Después de eso, su presencia desapareció de mi vida.
Ese objeto se volvió símbolo. No solo de mi infancia, sino también de lo que se ausenta, de lo que se queda grabado en la memoria, aunque el tiempo pase. Al pintar caballos, no solo recreo esa figura, sino que la resignificó: es una manera de traer de vuelta algo que se fue demasiado pronto. Pinto desde la nostalgia, pero también desde la fuerza que esa ausencia me dejó.
 
BETWEEN SKIES AND SHADOWS (MIXED MEDIA)
I paint horses because there is an image that has never left me: a little toy horse my father gave me when I was a child. It was small, simple, yet it held something magical for me. It was one of the first gifts I ever received from him—and also one of the last moments I had him close. After that, his presence faded from my life.
That object became a symbol. Not only of my childhood, but also of what is absent—of what remains etched in memory even as time passes. When I paint horses, I am not merely recreating that figure; I am redefining it. It’s a way to bring back something that left too soon. I paint from nostalgia, but also from the strength that absence gave me.
