Eugenia Margarita Hernández Pacheco es una pintora mexicana radicada en Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, reconocida como una de las pioneras de la plástica en la región. Su obra se sitúa en el umbral de lo abstracto, donde privilegia la exploración expresiva y experimental por encima del rigor técnico, desarrollando un lenguaje profundamente subjetivo y orientado a la libertad pictórica.

Desde 1996 cuenta con la acreditación como Profesional de las Artes por la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de México (ARTAC) y por la Asociación Internacional de Artistas Plásticos afiliada a la UNESCO (AIAP/UNESCO). A lo largo de su trayectoria ha trabajado con diversas técnicas y ha expuesto en espacios locales, nacionales e internacionales, consolidándose como una figura referente en el panorama artístico de Quintana Roo.

Su nombre aparece en publicaciones relevantes como el catálogo Agua, color y papel (1992) y la Enciclopedia de Quintana Roo (1998). Ha representado a México en encuentros internacionales, fungido como delegada y participado en proyectos culturales de gran impacto, entre ellos el Santuario de la Esperanza en Puerto Morelos.

Entre sus exposiciones recientes destacan muestras en Playa del Carmen, Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, República Dominicana, Chile, Brasil, México, Italia, Colombia y Francia. Su obra ha formado parte de festivales, bienales, proyectos en defensa de la naturaleza y exposiciones itinerantes organizadas por la AIAP–UNESCO.

En 2025 recibió el Galardón a la Vida, Obra y Trayectoria, otorgado por la Fundación SUCREA y la Armada Nacional de Colombia en Coveñas, Sucre, Colombia, y fue reconocida como Mujer Emblemática Internacional por su trayectoria, compromiso artístico y contribución al patrimonio cultural.

Eugenia Margarita Hernández Pacheco is a Mexican painter based in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, recognized as one of the pioneers of the visual arts in the region. Her work stands at the threshold of abstraction, privileging expressive and experimental exploration over technical rigor, developing a deeply subjective language oriented toward pictorial freedom. Since 1996, she has held accreditation as a Professional of the Arts from the Association of Plastic Artists of Mexico (ARTAC) and the International Association of Plastic Arts affiliated with UNESCO (AIAP/UNESCO). Throughout her career, she has worked with various techniques and exhibited in local, national, and international venues, establishing herself as a significant figure in the artistic landscape of Quintana Roo. Her name appears in relevant publications such as the catalog Agua, color y papel (1992) and the Encyclopedia of Quintana Roo (1998). She has represented Mexico at international gatherings, served as a delegate, and participated in major cultural projects, including the Santuario de la Esperanza in Puerto Morelos. Among her recent exhibitions are shows in Playa del Carmen, Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Colombia, and France. Her work has been part of festivals, biennials, nature conservation projects, and traveling exhibitions organized by AIAP–UNESCO. In 2025, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Life, Work, and Career, granted by the SUCREA Foundation and the National Navy of Colombia in Coveñas, Sucre, Colombia, and was recognized as an International Emblematic Woman for her artistic trajectory, commitment, and contribution to cultural heritage.
