MEDUSA (ESCULTURA): símbolo de fuerza y resistencia
Medusa, originalmente una sacerdotisa consagrada a Atenea, fue víctima de la violencia de Poseidón. En lugar de recibir consuelo, fue castigada por la diosa a quien servía. Su historia, muchas veces tergiversada, es en realidad un reflejo profundo de la injusticia y la opresión que históricamente han enfrentado las mujeres.
Esta escultura nace como un acto de memoria y dignificación. No representa a un monstruo, sino a una mujer que fue víctima de abuso y que, a pesar del castigo y el estigma, se convirtió en símbolo de poder. Su mirada petrifica, no por maldad, sino por la fuerza que emerge del dolor transformado en coraje.
Medusa es resiliencia.
Es un llamado urgente contra la violencia de género.
Es una voz que se levanta frente al silencio del patriarcado.
Esta obra invita a reflexionar, a mirar con otros ojos y a reconocer que detrás de cada historia de dolor hay una semilla de lucha y transformación.

MEDUSA (SCULPTURE): A SYMBOL OF STRENGTH AND RESILIENCE
Medusa, originally a priestess consecrated to Athena, was a victim of Poseidon’s violence. Instead of receiving comfort, she was punished by the very goddess she served. Her story—often distorted through time—is, in truth, a profound reflection of the injustice and oppression women have historically endured.
This sculpture was born as an act of remembrance and reparation. It does not portray a monster, but rather a woman who was victimized and who, despite punishment and stigma, became a symbol of power. Her gaze turns to stone not out of malice, but from the strength that rises when pain is transformed into courage.
Medusa is resilience.
She is an urgent call against gender-based violence.
She is a voice that rises in defiance of patriarchal silence.
