"Cada una de mis obras surge de experiencias vivenciales y de un cuestionamiento constante sobre el arte: su función, su capacidad de reflexión y su potencia simbólica. Trabajo a partir de la idea, eligiendo y adaptando los materiales en función de su significado, integrándolos al concepto de la obra.

No me adscribo a una línea ni a un material específico; mi proceso se define por aquello que deseo comunicar. Me interesa transitar distintos temas y enfoques sin caer en la repetición, explorando nuevas posibilidades conceptuales. Mi obra reflexiona sobre el recorrido humano, el rumbo que elegimos y el lugar desde el cual decidimos situarnos".

"Each of my works arises from lived experiences and from a constant questioning of art: its function, its capacity for reflection, and its symbolic power. I work from the idea itself, selecting and adapting materials according to their meaning and integrating them into the concept of the piece. Manuel Piña es un artista plástico México-americano con sólida formación académica y más de tres décadas de trayectoria, consolidada a través de una amplia actividad expositiva en América, Europa y Asia.

Licenciado en Artes Plásticas, ha participado en más de 150 exposiciones individuales y colectivas en museos, galerías, fundaciones, embajadas y universidades de países como México, Estados Unidos, Francia, Italia, España, Suiza, Suecia, Cuba, China, India y Japón. Destacan sus participaciones recientes representando a México en la Embajada de México en Tokio y en la Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Su obra ha sido exhibida en recintos emblemáticos como el Museo de Arte del INBA, la Fundación Sebastián, el Latino Art Museum de California y galerías de Nueva York, París y Shanghái. En 2022 celebró 30 años de trayectoria con una exposición conmemorativa en Chihuahua y ha sido reconocido con el Premio a la Excelencia por la revista Personae.

Su práctica artística se distingue por el rigor técnico, la continuidad y el compromiso cultural, posicionándolo como una figura de proyección internacional dentro del arte contemporáneo.

Manuel Piña is a Mexican-American visual artist with a solid academic background and more than three decades of artistic practice, consolidated through extensive national and international exhibitions across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and has participated in over 150 solo and group exhibitions in museums, galleries, foundations, embassies, and universities in countries including Mexico, the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Cuba, China, India, and Japan. Recent highlights include representing Mexico at the Embassy of Mexico in Tokyo and at the Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. His work has been exhibited in landmark institutions such as the INBA Museum of Art, the Sebastián Foundation, the Latino Art Museum in California, and galleries in New York, Paris, and Shanghai. In 2022, he marked 30 years of artistic career with a commemorative exhibition in Chihuahua and received the Excellence Award from Personae magazine. Manuel Piña’s artistic practice is distinguished by technical rigor, continuity, and cultural commitment, positioning him as an artist with strong international projection within contemporary art.
