Alfredo Zavala, biólogo de formación y pintor autodidacta en sus inicios, encontró en el arte su verdadera pasión, lo que lo llevó a abandonar la biología para estudiar en el Centro de Residencias e Investigación Artística de Ensenada, BC. Como artista independiente, ha exhibido su obra en México, Estados Unidos, Inglaterra, España y Tokio, ganándose reconocimiento internacional.
Su estilo se caracteriza por ser figurativo con fundamentos de abstracción, enfocándose en retratos de la vida silvestre y paisajes naturales, tanto terrestres como marinos. Según el maestro Francisco Silva, “su obra es el registro de quien observa minuciosamente nuestro entorno natural.” En la última década, su vida y su arte han oscilado entre Inglaterra y México, una experiencia que ha influido significativamente en su serie "Caminar entre dos tierras."
Desde 2020, Alfredo reside en Aguascalientes, México, donde continúa explorando la figura humana y compartiendo su vasta experiencia a través de la enseñanza en academias y galerías de arte. Su trabajo no solo capta la belleza del mundo natural, sino que también inspira a otros a apreciar y crear arte.
Alfredo es actualmente Miembro Honorario de la Comunidad Internacional "Red Global Creativa". Sus aportaciones anuales son fundamentales para apoyar un proyecto cultural que fomenta la visibilidad, difusión y crecimiento profesional de artistas y escritores de todo el mundo.
Alfredo Zavala, a biologist by training and a self-taught painter in his early years, discovered his true passion in art, which led him to leave biology behind and pursue studies at the Center for Artistic Residencies and Research in Ensenada, Baja California. As an independent artist, he has exhibited his work in Mexico, the United States, England, Spain, and Tokyo, earning international recognition.
His style is characterized as figurative with foundations in abstraction, focusing on portraits of wildlife and natural landscapes, both terrestrial and marine. According to maestro Francisco Silva, “his work is the record of one who carefully observes our natural surroundings.” Over the last decade, his life and art have alternated between England and Mexico, an experience that has greatly influenced his series “Walking Between Two Lands.”
Since 2020, Alfredo has been based in Aguascalientes, Mexico, where he continues to explore the human figure while sharing his extensive experience through teaching in art academies and galleries. His work not only captures the beauty of the natural world but also inspires others to appreciate and create art.
Alfredo is currently an Honorary Member of the International Community “Red Global Creativa.” His annual contributions are fundamental in supporting a cultural project that promotes visibility, dissemination, and professional growth for artists and writers worldwide.
