La cultura maya viene naufragando desde un tiempo ancestral. En esta obra, NAUFRAGA ANCESTRAL / ANCESTRAL CASTAWAY (PINTURA AL OLEO), se aprecia un ancestral maya naufragando sobre un navío de jade, piedra preciosa que los mayas apreciaron y simbolizaron elementos de distintas energías, como el agua, la fertilidad terráquea, la abundancia, la buena salud, y la llevaban como collares, brazaletes, orejeras e incluso en los dientes como decoración.
The Maya culture has been sinking for ages. In this artwork, Náufrago Ancestral (Ancestral Shipwreck), we see an ancient Maya drowning on a jade vessel, a precious stone that the Maya valued and used to symbolize various energies, such as water, earthly fertility, abundance, and good health. They wore it as necklaces, bracelets, earplugs, and even as decoration in their teeth.
