MUNDOS INFINITOS HOMENAJE A MARIA SABINA (MIXTA) es una obra que representa a la sabia curandera mazateca iluminada por el multiuniverso de estrellas en la noche. Su rostro, sereno y profundo, está surcado de arrugas que parecen trazos de sabiduría ancestral. Viste su tradicional huipil bordado y sostiene en las manos hongos sagrados -los niños santos- como ella los llamaba, con una reverencia casi mística. Los tonos tierra, los azules nocturnos y los destellos dorados dominan la paleta, evocando lo sagrado y lo espiritual. La mirada de María Sabina está fija en el espectador: no desafía ni juzga, pero transmite un mensaje silencioso de conexión con lo invisible. La obra no solo retrata su apariencia, sino también su papel como puente entre mundos: curandera, poeta chamánica, guardiana de un conocimiento antiguo. A su alrededor brotan hongos sagrados que no solo emergen del suelo, sino que parecen responder a su presencia. Sus sombreros emiten un resplandor suave, y de sus tallos se desprenden hilos de luz que serpentean en el aire. Algunos flotan en espirales etéreas, formando un círculo protector a su alrededor. Cada uno representa una dimensión de sanación: unos iluminan la mente, otros susurran al alma y algunos conectan el espíritu con lo divino. En este jardín sagrado, los hongos son guías y médicos: seres vivos que cantan en silencio canciones de curación profunda. El fondo de luz abre corazones que laten en la oscuridad, y por el aire flotan palabras imaginarias en mazateco, como mantras que envuelven la escena. La mirada de María Sabina invita al espectador a cruzar el umbral entre lo visible y lo invisible, hacia un mundo donde la medicina es también poesía y misterio.
 
INFINITE WORLDS HOMAGE TO MARÍA SABINA (MIXED MEDIA) This work portrays the wise Mazatec healer, María Sabina, bathed in the starlit vastness of the multiverse. Her serene, contemplative face is marked by lines that seem etched by time itself — traces of ancestral wisdom. She wears her traditional embroidered huipil and holds in her hands the sacred mushrooms — the holy children, as she called them — with reverence and devotion.
Earth tones, deep night blues, and golden highlights dominate the palette, evoking the sacred and the spiritual. María Sabina’s gaze meets the viewer’s — neither defiant nor indulgent — but imbued with the quiet authority of someone who has seen beyond the visible.
This piece transcends portraiture: it captures her essence as a bridge between worlds — healer, poet-shaman, and guardian of ancient knowledge. Around her, sacred mushrooms seem to grow not only from the ground but from her very presence. Their caps emit a gentle glow, their stems release threads of light that twist and spiral through the air, forming a luminous circle of protection. Each represents a realm of healing — some illuminate the mind, others whisper to the soul, and a few connect the spirit to the divine. In this sacred garden, the mushrooms are guides and doctors — living beings that sing in silence, weaving songs of deep restoration. The background radiates with light that opens hearts beating in the darkness, while imagined Mazatec words drift through the air like mantras encircling the scene.
María Sabina’s gaze invites the viewer to cross the threshold between the seen and the unseen — into a world where medicine, poetry, and mystery are one.
