Sobre su frente, un reloj reposa como un tercer ojo, símbolo de la conciencia del tiempo, de los ciclos que nos atraviesan y de la herencia que cada generación porta. El tulipán que florece en su coronilla representa la belleza interior, la sensibilidad y la capacidad de renacer incluso dentro de las marañas del destino. La figura encarna a la mujer mexicana como guardiana de los siglos: testigo del pasado, presencia del presente y semilla del porvenir.

WOMAN OF THE AGE OF TIME (OIL) In this work, Manuel Piña presents an Indigenous woman enveloped in an intricate network of roots that evoke ancestral memory and the deep connection between human beings and the earth. Upon her forehead rests a clock as a third eye, symbolizing awareness of time, the cycles that traverse us, and the heritage carried by each generation. The tulip blooming from her crown represents inner beauty, sensitivity, and the capacity to be reborn even within the entanglements of destiny. The figure embodies the Mexican woman as guardian of the centuries: witness of the past, presence of the present, and seed of the future.
