Te imaginé envuelto en tu magia, en esa luz que sólo tú podías traer.
Te dibujé con raíces que se entrelazaban a las mías,
y dentro de mí creció un árbol que te envolvió con ternura y firmeza.
Ese árbol de la vida que nos unió desde el primer instante…
y que sigue latiendo en cada paso de este viaje llamado existencia.
La vida fluyó de mí hacia ti y de ti hacia mí,
hasta ese día sagrado en que dejaste mi cuerpo,
no entre gritos de dolor, sino en un alarido de júbilo…
por conocerte, por tenerte por fin en mis brazos.
 
I wrote you in my heart long before you came into this world.
I imagined you wrapped in your magic, in that light only you could bring.
I drew you with roots entwined with mine,
and within me grew a tree that embraced you with tenderness and strength.
That tree of life that united us from the very first moment…
and keeps beating in every step of this journey called existence.
